One of the value stars of Australian wine; indeed arguably the value star of Australian wine, depending on your taste preferences.
This release is Mike Press cabernet sauvignon at its most elegant. It’s ripe but dusty, its flavours building slowly through the palate before shooting out through the finish. You’d reckon this one will cellar (very) well. It’s curranty and smoky with understated volleys of vanilla and cedarwood. Everything feels neat and tidy. It’s an excellent option for medium term cellaring.
